My practice includes people of all ages, individuals and groups. My specialties, though, are working with Adolescents/Young Adults and Stress Management.
Adolescents and Young Adults
I have worked with teens and young adults for the past 17 years dealing with Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Major Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, abuse (physical, sexual, neglect), body image issues, adjustment and bereavement issues. I help my clients build a positive self esteem and create a strong self identity through a strong therapeutic relationship that builds trust, eventual confrontation, and teaching them coping skills to take through the rest of their adult lives. I work with a cognitive behavioral approach which means working on negative thought patterns and teaching how to change those to have positive outcome with behaviors. In addition, I teach my clients how to handle stress, anxiety and depression more healthy through mindfulness, relaxation techniques, guided imagery and regulating emotions.
Stress Management/Life Enhancement/LifeForce Yoga®
Everyone deals with stress. Depression and anxiety can be major results of stress. I have helped teens and adults learn more about how they can handle stress in their lives more positively and pursue a healthier way of living both physically and mentally. Teaching what triggers individuals, being aware of self in a holistic approach has made clients more adaptable to stress and confident to reach their goals in life.
Work with me one on one in a comfortable setting, where we build a trusting therapeutic relationship that allows you to reach your goals and potential, whatever they may be. Individual therapy can be short term (few sessions) or long term (many sessions spread out through time). This will be determined in the initial meeting or dependent on success of goals established by you and me.
Experience the connection and support from others working on similar issues, under the facilitation of an experienced therapist. Gain education, understanding, and helpful feedback from non-judgmental group members who are there to achieve similar goals.

Stress Management Course Package
Learn how to handle the stress in your life more positively. I will conduct 10-12 sessions where you learn more about yourself in regards to how stress effects you and work on living a more healthy and positive life. Sessions touch on a variety of topics which include becoming aware of your triggers to stress and how it affects you negatively, diet, exercise, relaxation techniques (breathing and guided imagery) and sleep patterns. Some sessions may be held outside depending on your specific ways in handling stress better.
